Buddies of Bruce Rally

Join us September 30 - October 2, 2011 to ride some of the best roads anywhere in the U.S. It is only a short ride from anywhere in Missouri and the surrounding states.

Buddies of Bruce is a rally put on by the Missouri/Southern Illinois chapter of the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association.

Yes, you read that right: Friends of Freddies has a new name and a new venue!

We decided to rename the event in honor and remembrance of our dear friend Bruce Nall, who died in a motorcycle accident at the 2010 B.S. Rally.

From now on the event will be known as Buddies of Bruce.

We also have a brand new venue for the event which I think everyone will enjoy. We are moving the event to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Bruce's home town. We will be staying at the Victorian Inn and Suites (see below for location info). It is a fantastic facility; the rooms are clean and modern. There is a huge interior atrium filled with couches and chairs where we can sit and bench race all evening. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, pool tables and ping pong tables. There is a Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel and Panera in easy walking distance. Rooms will be $79 per night, including a full, hot breakfast. (Mention the MSTA to get the rate.) We have the rooms reserved until 30 days before the event, so make your reservations right away. There is also a banquet facility across the parking lot. We will have a BBQ pork steak dinner.

Now, the really good part: NEW ROADS!!! The roads to the west of Cape are fantastic and you will have a chance to ride them for the first time. Mother Bob will be creating a 350-400 mile route, while I will be creating an alternate route of 200-250 miles.
